Move electrical energy to the PoS -
NOT fuels!
The smart fusion of the
4 Via Azul Energy Quadrants,
will enable the implementation of the
European Mobility
on Renewable (low-carbon) Energy!
Via Azul: Groundbreaking and pragmatic solution approach for a European Mobility on Renewable (low-carbon) Energy
The innovative infrastructure development approach of the comprehensive synergy initiative Via Azul Europe 10:
'Move electrical energy to the Point-of-Sales (PoS) - NOT fuels!'
shall be implemented on a Network of 10 initial European highways. A new installed Smart Grid on the initial highway network will connect renewable (low-carbon) energy sources with new generation fuelling stations, equipped with facilities for local energy storage and charging/fuelling of electric and Fuell Cell vehicles (Battery and Fuel Cell). The Via Azul consortium will drive at the same time the establishment of local e/FC vehicle fleets, enabling short term ROI for the to be implemented new energy supply, storage and charging/fuelling infrastructure.
The Smart Grid will be realized through reasonable mixture highway underground cables, a of HVCD (high-voltage, direct current) and HVAC (high-voltage, alternating current) power transmission technology, connecting the Fuelling Stations with ever-growing renewable (Solar Power plants, Wind Power plants, Hydro Power plants, Biomass Power plants etc) and other low carbon energy resources, distributed all over Europe. The Smart Grid will be extended by an Energy Dispatching WAN-IT-Network, to assure real-time information exchange about decentralize renewable (low-carbon) energy generation vs. local demands, to enable an efficient supply/demand balancing at any point in the network.
The Via Azul Europe 10 initiative shall enforce the assembly of the Critical Mass for an European Mobility on Renewable (low-carbon) Energies. The Critical Mass is considered to be represented by the continuum of the four energy efficient and low-carbon Key Solution Quadrants: Energy Resources, Energy Transmission, Energy Storage and Energy Application.
The BENEFITS FOR EUROPEAN ECONOMIES will be tremendous, not only in AUTOMOTIVE AND THE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY SECTOR, but overwhelming in the SECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION, the bloodstream for each economy. The common benefits would be even more groundbreaking, when the Smart Grid will be connected with DESERTEC resources, providing high pike energy generation cycles among shifted European time zones.
The name Via Azul (Azul = Blue: Similar to iea ETP 2010 BLUE MAP scenarios and “Blue” Hydrogen) was derived from the Fuelling Station Network capability, to act within the Smart Grid as Point of Local (H2) Energy Storage.
Via Azul focus: Electro Mobility at CO2 emission reductions and Energy €fficiency, according to iea ETP 2010 BLUE MAP
